Features of the RHA Program

Annual Conference.

Held each year at one of the member resorts, the meeting is well attended by members, brokers, insurance company representatives and other service providers. It provides an opportunity to meet industry people, share ideas and learn more about RHA's insurance programs. Attendees may participate in a variety of professional educational programs, seminars and round-table discussions as well as enhance their professional relationships through informal networking and interaction with members and other attendees. Member resorts are invited to submit bids to host a conference. Sites are selected two years in advance during the Annual Conference.
Membership Meeting.
The annual membership meeting, held during the Annual Conference, provides a venue for members to voice a position on important issues. Each member holds one vote. Proxy statements are sent to members providing information on issues up for a vote on at the meeting.
Loss Control.
RHA promotes and sponsors an aggressive loss-control program. Each member will receive a loss-control audit at least every two years with reports and recommendations provided as needed. Seminars focusing upon specific loss control issues are also held during the year.
Claims.
RHA takes an active role in settling member's claims. Although most claims do not require intervention, careful monitoring of all claims helps to ensure that the process works efficiently and that claims are resolved in the best interest of the resort.
Newsletter.
RHA publishes a quarterly newsletter RHA/RHA, which is sent to all members and brokers. It contains industry news, loss-control items, new member updates, resort news and covers a wide range of topics.

Requirements/Eligibility

RHA seeks members interested in establishing a long-term, stable relationship for insurance coverage, shopping annually for the lowest price. Members should also desire to be actively involved with RHA and value interaction with other leaders in the resort industry that share a similar philosophy.

Members must sign a membership agreement. Resorts that become insured through RHA become members at that time and remain members as long as their insurance is in force.

RHA's programs were originally designed to meet the needs of destination resort hotels. Recently, the scope has expanded to include highly rated business hotels, spas, timeshares, private country clubs, ranches and city hotels.

RHA, where the best interests of our membership is our only interest.
